With more than 20 years experience in global broadcast, cinematic and online projects, I don’t just cut and trim footage – I craft stories that matter, stories that inspire – stories that get people talking.

I’m proud to have worked with so many excellent broadcasters and filmmakers.

Beginning in 1995 with corporate and industrial promotional films, I quickly shifted into broadcast with several years with BBC News, moving between Nationals, News Channel and World News. In 2004 I completed my first long-form project and found my natural home, crafting meaningful stories across many genres.

In the last 20 years, I’ve worked for pretty much every major broadcaster in the UK (and many abroad!), completing programmes for BBC Panorama, This World, My World and Our World, Channel 4’s Dispatches, Unreported World and Untold – and long-form series’ for Netflix, Discovery Channel and many more.

FAQs

Can you work remotely?

I have my own full suite at home with a 2Gbps (up and down) fibre connection. My primary skill is offline editing, but the suite is set up for Davinci Resolve grading and finishing of films. I maintain 100TB of server storage with 10TB of fast SSDs for live projects.

My setup is Mac-based and I cut on FCP, Avid MC, Adobe Premiere and Davinci Resolve.

Have your films won any awards?

Projects I have worked on have been nominated or have won many industry awards, including RTS, AIB and BAFTAs.

Do you work outside of broadcast?

I do indeed. My work includes corporate, industrial and charity films. Get in touch.

Do you have skills other than editing?

I shoot occasionally too – maintaining a full shoot kit comprising several Blackmagic cinema cameras, and the requisite lighting, audio and support equipment you would expect.

I can create animated graphics for the project including titles, lower thirds and explainer graphics such as animated maps.

I’ve have recorded narration and composed music for various projects.

Anything else you’d like to add?

I’ve written novels and make music. I’m very involved in local charities and have exhibited my photography. I present a Saturday radio programme on mindstation.co.uk, a web-based music radio station focussing on good mental health.

I’m passionate about fair dealing – honesty and integrity are important to me and I want to work with partners who share those values.
